Patrick Starrr, one of the first men to be recognized as a pillar of the social media beauty community, has been a prominent voice for change in the industry since launching his YouTube channel in 2013. Seven years and nearly 4.3MM subscribers later, Patrick is known for his inclusive attitude and magnetic personality, along with his overwhelmingly successful partnerships with mega brands. As of 2020, Patrick’s total social media following exceeds 12MM and continues to grow.
In July 2020, Patrick launched his own beauty brand ONE/SIZE in partnership with Luxury Brand Partners. The brand launched exclusively with national retailer, Sephora. Patrick’s celebrity collaborations include Kim Kardashian West, Jessica Alba, Katy Perry, Paris Hilton, Tyra Banks, Kris Jenner, Naomi Campbell and more. He has worked with top makeup brands such as Tarte, Benefit Cosmetics, and Urban Decay to help promote new product launches and collections. His most recent cosmetics collaboration was with MAC Cosmetics, for which he had a year long, 5-collection partnership.
Patrick began his beauty career as a professional photographer in Orlando, FL. After mastering the art of photoshopping his clients’ photos, his interest in learning how to apply makeup grew and he soon became a self-taught professional makeup artist. Following his decision to turn his interest in makeup into a career, he was employed at MAC Cosmetics, and launched his YouTube channel.
Patrick has won several awards for his YouTube channel such as The Streamys, The Shorty Awards, and Webby Awards. He has hosted the NYX Face Awards, American Influencer Awards, and was the Access Hollywood correspondent at the Teen Choice Awards. He was also the official social correspondent for NBC’s Hairspray Live! Facebook Live broadcast. Patrick founded a beauty influencer incubator/agency called The Beauty Coop where he aims to help emerging social media talent navigate their careers. In 2018 and 2019, Patrick served as executive producer and host of E!’s Snapchat show Face Forward. Patrick is an active member of GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) and works with other LGBTQ related charities and initiatives.
With past engagements including a keynote address to the L’Oreal Paris Headquarters and Beautycon 2019, the social media entrepreneur can speak to a wide variety of topics such as marketing strategy in the ever-changing digital landscape and navigating multi-level brand partnerships.
