Alexandra Shipp is best known for her role as the iconic mohawked super heroine “Storm” in Twentieth Century Fox’s X-Men franchise and her role in the critically acclaimed film Love, Simon. Shipp stars as the female lead in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s film Tick Tick Boom, opposite Andrew Garfield. Shipp can also be seen in Kung Fury opposite Michael Fassbender, and Silk Road opposite Jason Clarke and Nick Robinson. Prior to that, she appeared in WB’s Shaft opposite Samuel L. Jackson and Jexi for CBS Films opposite Adam Devine. Shipp was honored at the Women In Film Crystal + Lucy Awards® where she received the Women In Film “Face of the Future Award”.

Alexandra Shipp has just been cast as the female lead in Lin-Manuel Miranda’s film Tick Tick Boom, opposite Andrew Garfield. The film is an adaptation based on the autobiographical Off-Broadway show written by the late Jonathan Larson. The film is produced by Imagine’s Ron Howard, Brain Grazer and Julie Ho for Netflix. Steven Levenson, “Dear Evan Hanson” playwright, is adapted the script.
Shipp was recently in Germany filming Kung Fury opposite Michael Fassbender, and wrapped production on Silk Road opposite Jason Clarke and Nick Robinson. Prior to that, she did WB’s Shaft opposite Samuel L. Jackson and Jexi for CBS Films opposite Adam Devine. Alex can be seen in Netflix’s All the Bright Places with Elle Fanning which came out earlier this year. She also appeared in Universal Picture’s Oscar nominated feature Straight Outta Compton. She can currently be seen in Vogue‘s “Rising stars of 2020” issue and was just included in Forbes 30 under 30. Shipp can also be seen in Father of the Bride (3ish), Nancy Meyer’s Netflix project to raise money for World Central Kitchen. Alexandra joins the iconic cast in the role of the bride, “Rachel,” daughter of Robert De Niro’s character.
