Anna Wintour is Global Editorial Director of Vogue and Chief Content Officer for Condé Nast. In 1988, Wintour replaced Grace Mirabella as Editor in Chief at American Vogue. Vogue reaches over 12 million readers in print and an average of 1.2 million monthly visitors online. During her tenure at Vogue, Wintour has spearheaded the editorial practice of featuring celebrities on the cover, taken the title’s fashion pages out of the studio and onto the street, and used Condé Nast’s flagship title’s influence to champion new American designers through the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.

Anna has been actively involved in philanthropic fundraising, particularly for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, for which she has raised more than $240 million for the museum and serves as an Elective Trustee of the institution. Wintour was named Dame Commander (DBE) of the Order of the British Empire in 2017, awarded the Legion d’Honneur in 2011, and appointed to the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities in 2009.
