Milla Jovovich is a Ukrainian-American actress, musician, and model best known for her roles in The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, The Fifth Element, and the Resident Evil series. More recently, Jovovich also appeared in the 2019 reboot of Hellboy and the 2020 live-action adaptation of Monster Hunter.
Outside of TV and film, Jovovich is also a successful model. She first shot to international fame after she was spotted by the photographer Richard Avedon at the age of 11 and was featured in Revlon’s “Most Unforgettable Women in the World” advertisements. She made her first professional model contract at the age of 12, and soon made it to the covers of The Face, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and many other magazines. In 2004, she made $10.4 million, becoming the highest paid supermodel in the world.
As a musician, Jovovich released her debut album, “The Divine Comedy,” in 1994, and a follow-up, “The People Tree Sessions,” in 1998. She continues to release demos for other songs on her official website and frequently contributes to film soundtracks. In 2003, model Carmen Hawk and she created the clothing line Jovovich–Hawk, which ran until 2008. Jovovich also has her own production company, Creature Entertainment.
