Stately, sexy, sassy and just plain entertaining, she shops for bargains, designs her own floral arrangements, and cooks for guests using her toaster oven! As a single mom with a taste for luxury that is balanced by her Berkshire sensibilities, she proves again and again, its not how much you spend, but what you select, and how you use it that makes the difference.
Outside the home, Sonja displays a natural fashion sense having studied Marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology. She has modeled for brands including Bodyglove, Catalina and Diesel, and regularly appears during Fashion Week front and center in support of her designer friends. Sonja was spotted at The Mercedes Fashion Week tents and was subsequently named among The 21 Most Stylish People by New York Magazine. Sonja is also a weekly fashion critic for STAR Magazine.
With style and creativity comes Sonjas innate ability to entertain. After modeling in Europe, she became a professional restaurant, hotel, and luxury brand consultant to some of Americas top establishments. Sonja expertly reinvented each establishment drawing in rock stars, royalty, international tycoons and other power sets earning the title the straw that stirs the drink.
She was featured in The LA Times, The Wall Street Journal, The San Francisco Chronicle, The New York Times, Elle Italia, Esquire, Travel and Leisure, among others, and regularly appeared in the New York Post, New York Daily News, New York Social Diary and Quest and Avenue Magazine. After forming Sonja Inc, which represented luxury brands and resorts, Sonja met John Adams Morgan, the direct descendant of Wall Streets legendary J.P. Morgan. Their merger resulted in a decade long marriage and a beautiful daughter.
Today, Sonja remains a supporter of the arts, children and animals, as well as the LGBT. She is on the board of American Friends of Blrancourt, Ann Morgans Chateau turned French American Museum, as well as advocates for New Yorkers For Children, The Princess Grace Foundation, Jeffrey Fashion Cares, Californias NOH8 Campaign, and the ASPCA. Sonja resides in New York City with her daughter, two poodles and a rescue kitty.
She continues to build her affordable luxury brand under the umbrellas Sonja Innovative Living, Sonja In The City, and Sonja Style. Season 5 of the Real Housewives of New York City just wrapped in the USA and Season 4 is airing in Canada and Europe, 2012.
