Garrett Campbell caught the racing bug when he was just nine years-old and jumped behind the wheel of go-kart before quickly jumping to a Super Truck and then a Late Model.
In 2010, Garrett won three pole awards in UARA and on August 7th at Concord Speedway, he finally broke through with his first career UARA win. Heading into 2011 he looked to be the top championship contender, but an off-season injury sidelined Garrett from the first two races, but he returned in fashion as he dominated the third race of the season for his second career UARA win at Newport Speedway. He also picked up wins at Ace, Greenville and multiple wins at Caraway Speedway before seasons end.
Garrett then ended the 2011 campaign the best way any driver can by winning the biggest race of his career. In the final laps of the Myrtle Beach 400, a prestigous and challenging race to win on the tough, gritty Myrtle Beach Speedway, Garrett put his car in the lead and took home the big win.
After breaking through with his biggest career win in last years Myrtle Beach 400, Garrett Campbell will most certainly be the driver to watch this weekend as he looks to defend his title at the 20th annual Myrtle Beach 400 the season ending showdown at Myrtle Beach Speedway.
With the continued help and support of former NASCAR and USAC star Shane Hmiel, Campbell will once again be behind the wheel of the No. 12 3 Wide Life Chevrolet. The nationally syndicated television show 3 Wide Life will be there every step of the way documenting his quest to repeat as champion. Campbell and 3 Wide Life first teamed up two weeks ago at Rockingham Speedway.
