He joined the U.S. Marine Corps at age 17 and completed Basic Training (also referred to as ‘Boot Camp’) at Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD), San Diego, California.
Harvey Walden served as a Drill Instructor at MCRD, Parris Island, South Carolina, with platoons setting records in drill, fitness, and marksmanship skills. He still remains on active duty and holds the rank of First Sergeant (1stSgt).
Harvey is an expert in weapons, ordnance, has black belts for various types of martial arts, and has played semi-pro American Football and as a running back for the U.K’s London Mets.
Harvey is best-known in the U.K. and U.S. for his role as the expert fitness instructor on VH1’s and ITV’s prime-time shows Fat Club and Celebrity Fit Club.
