Patricia Field, a native New Yorker, began her fashion career with the opening of her Greenwich Village boutique in 1966. For over 40 years, her boutique continues to be a globally, well known and respected fashion destination.

Patricia Field, a native New Yorker, began her fashion career with the opening of her Greenwich Village boutique in 1966. For over 40 years, her boutique continues to be a globally, well known and respected fashion destination.
Patricia made an international name for herself styling HBO’s “Sex and The City” from 1998-2004, and then again for the two follow-up feature films. Patricia received critical acclaim and raised the standards in the world of television and film glamour through her costume design. Because of Field, names like Manolo Blahnik, Oscar De La Renta, and Fendi became global household names. As a true pioneer, Patricia has stimulated an entire fashion movement through the world in which high and low, old and new are mixed together to create the new look, “The New High Fashion.”
In addition to the “Sex and The City” franchise, Patricia’s impressive list of projects include, ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, “Ugly Betty”, ‘Confessions of a Shopaholic’, “Crime Story”, “Mother Goose Rock n Rhyme”, ‘Wiseguy’, and ‘Spin City”, The feature film “The Other Woman”, was released in April 2014. Her soon to be released TV series, “Younger” will premiere on TV Land Network on March 26th.
Outside the film and TV industries, Patricia has worked worldwide extensively with Maybelline Vidal Sassoon, Payless Shoes, Diet Coke, Smacky Glam, Kotex, Candie’s Shoes, Shangpin China, Buckaroo Korea, Temptu, HSN, Marks & Spencer and most recently Crocs.
In March of 2013 Patricia launched a Sex and The City Costume Exhibition, starting in Melbourne, Australia. This one month exhibition featured 20 iconic costumes & accessories of the four main characters from the “Sex and The City” TV series and films. The second installment of the project took place in Perth, Australia April 2014. She is currently developing this exhibition as a world tour in cities throughout the world.
Documentary featuring her shop just finished touring the film festival circuits called, “The Little House That Could”, by a former staff member, Mars Roberge. Patricia has been supportive of the documentary.
Field continues to be interested in creative collaborations with brands, artists, designers, and is still active in the world of film and television.
A favorite developed interest is face to face meetings and conferences with various cultural and educational organizations around the world.
